Assessment Day
Candidates who have been shortlisted by potential supervisors will be invited to Cranfield for an Assessment Day. If you are a UK or EU applicant you will be expected to travel to Cranfield; special arrangements can be made for testing and interviewing international candidates.
The assessment day comprises:
- a panel interview by three members of faculty. You will be asked to give a 10-minute presentation of your proposed research at the start of the interview.
- three admission tests :
Test 1: drafting of an abstract for an academic journal article (90 minutes)
Test 2: Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking test (60 minutes)
Test 3: RANRA Numerical Reasoning test (60 minutes)
Practice tests are provided for tests 2 and 3 before the assessment day.
All candidates can expect to hear the outcome of their interview within 10 working days.
