State of the Art in Performance Measurement and Management
Since the late 1980s members of the Centre for Business Performance have been working with companies on the way in which they measure and manage their performance. This has included research consulting and teaching activities with many organisations. During this time evidence of good and not so good practice has been collected.
The Centre is now embarking on a study to consolidate this knowledge of good and poor practice and identify the State of the Art where it exists in practice.
Primarily this will focus on the State of the art as it relates to the 4 key processes that underpin performance measurement and management activities:
This research includes:
- Case studies of companies perceived to demonstrate Best Practice or the State of the Art in one or more of the above processes
- Case Studies with companies who demonstrate sustained superior performance
- Survey of the current State of the Art
