Cranfield School of Management

Student Opportunities

The Cranfield School of Management is dedicated to the improvement of management practice at all levels. The Doughty Centre places great emphasis on integrating Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability into the education of the manager of today and tomorrow. Our objective is to support student education, projects and theses, and integrate sustainability and responsibility into the core of management teaching and practice, rather than simply add these areas as additional tasks 'bolted-on'.

We actively encourage student interest in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. Outside of our Sustainable Business elective on the MBA we offer the following support and opportunities:

  • Lectures on wide ranging topics under the umbrella of corporate responsibility.
  • Opportunities for MBA and MSc students to research and learn more about specific areas within corporate responsibility and sustainability.
  • For MBA students we also have a leaflet available that gives more detail on how sustainability is so relevant to the MBA learning and your experience on the course.
  • The PhD programme within the corporate responsibility and sustainability field to research and create knowledge.
  • A library at the Centre (Information Zone) of over 100 specialist books, reports and some videos that students can borrow for research and reading.

Additionally, Cranfield University SOM also has a Net Impact chapter, and we also encourage students to attend our CR Network seminars to learn more about Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
