Nazia Hussain

Nazia recently completed her Masters in International Human Resources Management from the University of Northampton Business School with a view to pursuing a career in Human Resources. She has spent the majority of her working life in Finance and Consulting, primarily with Blue Chip and the big 4 professional services organizations. Her assignments have led her to several continents of the world, the last being an assignment in the Middle East. Nazia moved to Dubai in 2005 and initially worked for the Government of Dubai. However, in 2006 she decided to become a freelancer and has to date been working on an assignment with the Government of Abu Dhabi.

In addition to her MAIHRM, she has an MBA (1994) from the University of Bradford Management Centre and a BA in Economics (1985) from Simmons College, Boston, USA. Nazia has always been an avid supporter of women advancing in the workplace and hopes that the DBA will be a contribution to the work in that field especially in the Middle East.

Nazia has to date not published any papers, in the field of Gender and the Middle East. However her MBA thesis (The Implications of the Uruguay Trade agreement on the Indian Economy) was carried out in conjunction with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and GATT in Geneva.
