Where is Cranfield?
Situated mid-way between Oxford and Cambridge, the village of Cranfield is close to thriving Milton Keynes, a new town with one of the largest covered shopping centres in Europe, and the historic riverside town of Bedford. Both have coach and train stations.

What is the difference between a full time and executive (part-time) course?
Our full-time courses, have a duration of 12 months and begin at the end of September each year.
Our executive (part time) courses are either two or three years in duration and require the applicant to attend and complete each and every residential module. The part-time modular format enables you to study for your Masters as you continue your career.

Working in the UK
So you are ready to apply for a place on one of our MSc courses and perhaps are considering a role within the UK following completion of your course.
What options are open to you?
If you are a UK, Swiss or EU national, you have the right to work within the UK or anywhere in the EU.
If you have a passport from outside the EU and hold a Tier 4 visa, you can work in the UK provided you:
- are offered a position up to 2 months after completion of your course
- transfer to Tier 2 once your future employer has issued a Certificate of Sponsorship
Please note that Tier 2 entrants through this route are not subject to quota. This means that there is no defined limit to the number of students that a company can recruit following this process!

Do you offer on-line and/or distance learning?
We do not offer on-line/distance learning or exemptions for any of our Masters courses. You will be required to come onto campus and complete the course in its entirety.

Are your courses ranked?
Specialist Masters courses are not currently included in the business school polls/rankings, however Cranfield School of Management is included in the Combined Rankings.

Am I eligible for my course of choice?

Is there an application deadline?
We do not have an official deadline for applications for the Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. However, please be aware that places are limited and we receive a high number of applications each year. It is advisable to apply early to secure a place on the course and in on-campus accommodation.

Is there an application fee?
We do not charge an application fee to process your application.

Can I apply for two courses at once?
You can apply for two courses. Within your application, you will be required to include your 1st and 2nd choices of which courses you would like to study.
If you are successful in your application for your 1st choice, your application will not be forwarded to your 2nd choice. However, if you are unsuccessful in your 1st choice, your application will be forwarded to your 2nd choice for consideration.

Do I need to take GMAT?
GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) is a computer-adaptive test that is available, year-round, at test centres throughout the world. The GMAT measures basic verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. Further details can be obtained on the website:www.gmat.com. Training courses are available and POWERPREP software can be downloaded from the website to familiarise yourself with the kinds of questions asked on the test. A balanced score of at least 600 is required.
If your degree is not equivalent to a UK Honours Degree 2:2 or above, GMAT may be required. Having taken into consideration all your application details the Course Director may still require you to undertake the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) and obtain a minimum score of 600 with analytical writing of 4.0. GMAT is a decision which is made solely by the Course Director.

Do I need relevant post-qualification work experience to be eligible to apply for a full-time course?
Some applicants for this course will have post-qualification relevant work experience while others may not. The Course Director will assess each application for it's individual merit.

Who should my references be from?
Ideally, we ask for at least one reference to be academic. If, however, you have been away from academia for a number of years and this is no longer possible, we may accept two professional references.

How can I send my supporting documents?
It is now possible to attach your supporting documents to the on-line application. References should be on official letter headed paper and signed by the writer.
If you are successful in your application and offered a place on the course, you will be required to provide the originals either before or on the day of Registration.

What accommodation is available on campus?
A variety of accommodation is available on campus, from single rooms (with or without a meal allowance) to homes for those with partners or families. Living on campus is a great way of being close to your studies, making new friends and taking advantage of all campus facilities.

What family support is available at Cranfield?
Cranfield is an ideal location to bring your partner or family. Close to all the amenities in Milton Keynes, and has the benefits of outdoor life in the country. There are playgroup facilities onsite and schools in the local area for children of all ages.

If you would like to make contact with a member of our Alumni, who can share their experiences of studying at Cranfield, please attach a short CV, outlining your course of interest, to msclogistics@cranfield.ac.uk
This will be then be forwarded to our Relationship Marketing Manager, who will be able to put you in touch with a former student.
