Cranfield School of Management

What kind of projects are we talking about?

The student project can take many forms. It could for instance be the analysis of an international distribution system to find the most cost effective design for present and future supply chain operations. The project may be to examine warehouse operations to identify service or operational improvements. Alternatively you may want to improve your key supplier performance and investigate better measurement and management systems. Some organisations ask students to review the literature associated with a new supply chain initiative as a ‘due diligence’ exercise prior to strategy formulation.
