Background
Prior to his academic career in management, Mehmet has done extensive research on smart web-interface development. Mehmet’s master thesis has looked at effects of globalization on SMEs in developing countries.
Research Topic
Mehmet’s current PhD research is: The role of inter-organisational relationships on the development of innovative business models.
Research Issue
Mehmet’s research interests are mainly in Operations Management discipline particularly on supply chain management i.e. early supplier involvement, strategic supplier management, buyer-supplier relationships, partners and alliances. He is also looking at; business models, innovation and servitization.
His research addresses an eminent need in manufacturing industry and an emerging gap in academia which is to develop a better understanding of suppliers’ role and contribution for the development of innovative business models.
