Research

Our research and development activity tackles one or more of the four main challenges in performance measurement and management. These are:

• The design and implementation of performance measurement systems
• The management of organisations using measurement systems
• The evolution of performance measurement systems, and
• The integration of measurement and management systems within the organisational context

We also have a stream of work exploring: -

• the impact that measurement systems have on organisations and their performance,
• how organisations can maximise the benefits of performance measurement and management
• the relationship between the measurement and management systems of an organisation and

  • target setting
  • reward systems
  • plans and budgets
  • HR practices
  • risk management
  • strategy development and implementation
  • government and regulatory systems

We also work with and support a number of Doctoral Students in their research.
