Supply Chain Risk And Resilience

Integrated approaches to supply chain management have done much to improve the efficiency of inter and intra-organisational supply chain networks. Ever-more sophisticated technological solutions have sought to enable the process. However, concerns have surfaced in recent years that an eagerness to reduce waste, and thereby the risks associated with suboptimal supply chain performance, has meant that other less obvious risks to supply chains have been overlooked. In some instances, this has significantly increased the susceptibility of those same supply chains to internally derived risks or external disruptions.

The focus here is applied research into in all forms of Supply Chain Risk, with a view to providing practicing managers and policy makers with the tools and concepts necessary to enable them to improve Supply Chain Resilience.
