Background

Joana has been involved in research since 1997, studying the phenomenon of cognition. She started her research career in the field of neuroscience, where she conducted experiments in simpler cognitive functions, such as vision and auditory processing. Later, she migrated to the field of psychology, where her research involved more complex cognitive functions, such as language and symbolic representation. Joana is now at Cranfield, conducting research on the role of complex cognitive processes in leadership development and CEO succession.
