What is it about?
The programme is aimed at helping participants turn an idea for a business or technology into a commercial reality. The programme begins with a one day workshop which helps refine and develop the business idea. A selection of the participants will then be assigned an experienced entrepreneur, who over the next few months will help them develop a pitch for investors and/or business partners at the Cranfield Business Angel Network meeting on the 7 September 2011.
Who is it for?
The programme is aimed at Cranfield Faculty/Staff and Students who have an idea or technology which they think has commercial potential.
Workshop Format
Morning:
Sessions will focus on entrepreneurship practice and strategy related to the commercialisation of business ideas and technology.
Afternoon:
Participants will work in groups to develop and make an initial pitch of their business ideas.
Where is it being held?
There will be a one day workshop held at each of the Cranfield and Shrivenham campuses on the 26 and 27 May respectively. The Business Angel Network event will be held at the Cranfield campus on 7 September 2011.
How can I attend?
There are a limited number of places on the programme which will be allocated on the basis of investment readiness. For selection purposes applicants will need to complete a short application form with some basic information about their business idea/technology.
