Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)

Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (CLSCM)

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is a UK-wide programme enabling businesses to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance.  KTP funds access to knowledge, technology and skills in UK academic institutions.  The programme is described at http://www.ktponline.org.uk/what-is-a-knowledge-transfer-partnership

Partnering with us at CLSCM enables you to access skills and expertise to help your business develop from one of Europe’s leading centres of excellence in the logistics field.

In practice, we help you to develop a project plan to address a specific logistics challenge, help to appoint a recently qualified person (known as the Associate) to work on each project, and provide academic supervision and support.  KTPs typically vary in length from 1 to 3 years.

KTP enables new logistics capability to be embedded into your business, and has benefited a wide range of businesses across many sectors.

Current KTP's within the Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management are:

  • GS1
  • Middlemarch
  • Rolls-Royce
