Improving management and leadership in the Hospitality industry
Improving the quality of leadership in the Hospitality Industry
Since 1997, Cranfield General Management Programmes have worked in partnership with the Master Innholders to award places on the Accelerated Talent Development Programme (ATDP) to successful scholarship candidates. The purpose of the Scholarship is to equip promising managers with the knowledge and capability to make a significant and enduring contribution to the UK hospitality industry.
The scholarship is funded by the Worshipful Company of Innholders, The Savoy Educational Trust and the Lord Forte Foundation and candidates gain their place through a competitive application process. Most of the successful candidates come from the independent sector where significant management development opportunities are difficult to access. To date, over 75 managers have attended either the Cranfield Business Leaders’ or Accelerated Talent Development Programmes.
Past delegates have come from a diverse range of hospitality establishments ranging from The Ritz, Malmaison to the Hyatt Regency.
The successful candidates for 2012 are:
Mark Bevan - The Chester Grosvenor
Florian Broemel - The London Lancaster
Robert Ince – The Torridon, Scotland
Simon Thomas – Brown’s Hotel, London
Veryan Armstrong - The Headland Hotel, Newquay
Richard Kidner – Farnhams Hall Hotel, Hertfordshire
Nicholas Walley – The Vineyard at Stockcross, Berkshire
