Thinking and Acting as a Great Programme Manager

Understand and develop the key behavioural aspects of an effective programme manager. This programme will explore a competence framework developed from award-winning research that will help you improve your performance in managing programmes.

Good project management skills are not sufficient to succeed as a programme manager.  Project and programme management are distinct disciplines and success requires managers to embrace and apply different mindsets and approaches.

What will I get out of the programme?

You will:

  • Understand the key behavioural attributes of programme management competence, each mapped at four levels
  • Understand where your current level of conception of programme management fits into the framework
  • Identify how to use your knowledge to manage your self-development as a programme manager
  • Identify how to improve performance in managing programmes.
