Hosted by The Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurial Performance & Economics
3 - 4 June 2011

The Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurial Performance and Economics at Cranfield School of Management is delighted to announce that it will be again hosting the European Business Plan of the Year Competition (EBPYC). The EBPYC has become Europe's longest running business plan competition. It is designed to encourage entrepreneurship and new business creation among MBA students and to help develop and apply venturing, commercial, and business skills that are so vital in today's business world. The 19th edition of the EBPYC will take place on Friday, the 3, and Saturday, the 4 June 2011 at the Cranfield School of Management campus.
The competition is structured in three parts:

A number of businesses that presented last year have been launched over the past few months. Examples include the team from Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship Magnus Norberg Ohlsson and Josefin Nordström who launched ‘Tomologic', Tim Winchcomb from Cranfield School of Management who launched ‘Ping-A-Pint' or Dr Ismail Ahmed from London Business School who launched ‘WorldRemit'. RedPack BeachLockers turned their business into reality immediately after winning the competition in 2009. Helene de Saint Front, CEO of RedPack BeachLockers, said ‘winning the competition for us was the real "kick" we needed to go ahead with our plans. Indeed, the support of experienced entrepreneurs and the encouraging reward we got were invaluable to foster entrepreneurial spirit, not to mention all the inspiring people we met there. And the fact that people believed in us was such a boost!' .
