Robert Brown

Robert is an Oxford and Harvard Business School Graduate. He has over 20 years business experience and has worked for Esso Petroleum, McKinsey and Doulton Glass, where he helped set up two successful enterprises which he ran as Managing Director. Robert held a senior lectureship position at Cranfield. His books include, with Colin Barrow, The Business Plan Workbook (3rd ed) and the Business Growth Handbook, The Business Enterprise Handbook all published by Kogan Page and Principles of Small Business (1997) Thompson International. His research interest is in writing cases on early stage growth businesses, five of which (Dockspeed Ltd, Cobra Beer, ChocExpress, innocent drinks and Pacific Direct) were winners of the EFMD best cases in Entrepreneurship Awards, 1995, 1999, 2002 and 2009. innocent drinks written with Professor David Grayson also won the ECCH best case award in CSR in 2010. Robert was also visiting lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Universite Paris V (Rene Descartes.)
