Examining the issues involved in addressing diversity issues, particularly age discrimination at work and creating a diverse workforce

Aims and Objectives

To investigate the extent to which organisations use diversity concepts in their business strategy, with particular reference to age diversity. To what extent does the creation of an age diverse workforce depend upon the prevailing values of senior management and their stereotypical attitudes? How can stereotypical attitudes be eliminated and older workers accommodated within the workplace? How do organisations respond to legislative change such as the legislation on age?

Candidate requirements

  • Degree in appropriate subject e.g. social sciences, human resource management.
