How can the Centre help Organisations?
Enlightened organisations recognise the business benefits to be gained from fostering diversity at all levels within their management structures.
Your organisation can use the expertise in our Centre to increase the number of women at the top of your organisation. You may like to consider the following:
- An in-depth evaluation of your Corporate and Executive Boardroom Cultures. We have written the UKRC "Transforming Boardroom Cultures in Science, Engineering and Technology Organisations: A Good Practice Guide to Inclusive Boardrooms", based on five in-depth case studies interviewing chairmen, chief executives, directors and senior women, and surveying women at senior and middle levels to get their views as to whether the boardroom culture is gendered.
- Management Development Programmes: Send high potential women managers on our 3-day Women as Leaders Workshop
- Or talk to us about a customised development programme tailored to meet the specific needs of your organisation
- We can offer a Consortium programme for you and your peer organisations, which will develop your women managers and keep your HR team up-to-date with the latest research and thinking about gender diversity in leadership
- Mentoring: we can audit your organisation and identify what kind of mentoring system would work best for you. We can also evaluate your current mentoring system and identify the benefits of it for mentors, mentees and the organisation.
- Employer Reputation Benchmarking: we have developed diagnostic tools for helping organisations identify why they are not attracting women, not retaining women or not promoting women through to board level.
- 'Impression Management' (I.M.) is now being positioned as a critical management skill. We offer workshops to take executives through the stages of awareness of I.M. to develop a set of I.M. behaviours appropriate to their work context.
- A Women Managers Network: We advise organisations on how to set up a women managers network at work, which will provide support and information to women managers who may be in token/minority positions. Such a network can be structured around a set of Masterclasses on Gender and Management.
- Research: Sponsor a research project of relevance to your organisation.
