Elena Doldor BSc, MSc

Elena Doldor 

Elena joined the Centre in 2006 as a full-time PhD student. She holds a BSc in Psychology from Babes-Bolyai University (Romania) and an MSc in Organizational Psychology from Pierre Mendes University (France). After completing an MRes degree at Cranfield, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and spent one year in the US, working with Professor Alice Eagly in Northwestern University. Her current doctoral research focuses on gender aspects of organizational politics, particularly on managerial attitudes toward organizational politics. Broader scholarly interests include diversity management, power and social influence in organizations and leadership. Elena is a member of the American Academy of Management and the British Academy of Management.

 

Prior to starting her PhD, Elena’s research addressed cross-cultural differences in gender stereotypes and women’s career obstacles in male-dominated working environments. She has a special interest for diversity management within corporations, and has advised a European research institute on ways of managing women’s careers in male-typed jobs.
