Welcome to the Cranfield Management Research Institute (CMRI)

The Institute houses the School of Management's twelve research centres plus its internationally renowned and ESRC accredited doctoral programmes. It enhances our tradition of bringing together our outstanding faculty with forward-thinking practitioners to create novel research agendas, undertake ground-breaking research, and develop enduring knowledge, innovative practice and customised solutions.

In December 2008 the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) rated 90% of Cranfield School of Management's research activity as ‘internationally recognised’ or better, 40% as ‘internationally excellent’ and 25% as ‘world leading’. World-leading aspects included engagement with industry and commerce; the scale, resourcing and quality assurance of PhD and DBA activities; and research income. The results of this assessment confirm the School’s position as being among the leading research centres for Business and Management in the UK.
