With a background in HR and Recruitment, Alex brings a wealth of multi-sector experience and knowledge to the team. Having worked extensively with London based finance and media companies on large volume recruitment campaigns, Alex extends her experience at Cranfield to encompass many global blue chip organisations. Her primary focus is liaising with students and clients alike to build and develop optimal relationships and maximise opportunities for executive employers to connect with our graduate talent. This includes the design and delivery of many student workshops including the focussed CV tailoring workshops across all the MSc And MBA courses throughout the academic year. During her six years at Cranfield she has been responsible for managing and developing many of the ongoing relationships with key clients who return year after year to recruit our students, including Johnson& Johnson, Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls Royce, Schlumberger and Brambles/CHEP.

Michelle coordinates the creative vision and activity of the Career Development Service including the design and production of all marketing initiatives and digital content. With a BA (Hons) in Business Entrepreneurship and a background in marketing, communications and events for names such as Yamaha, the Royal Society and the Metropolitan Police Service, Michelle delivers a range of marketing and communications strategies designed to achieve the objectives of the team. Currently on the approach to completing an Arts MA, Michelle’s extensive creative skills and experience includes Adobe CS5, graphic design and web development. With a Level 3 Diploma in Life Coaching including Career Development modules, she has an appreciation of the concepts applied by our coaches which she adapts to promote their key messages. She is also the Project Manager for our Full Time MBA, Executive MBA and MSc yearbooks.

Elizabeth is responsible for managing all Careers events held throughout the academic year, including our international careers fair, the annual MBA networking event in London and all other specialist events delivered through our range of careers initiatives. With a degree in Sociology and a background in restaurant management, Elizabeth’s extensive project management experience enables her to deliver a bespoke events service on behalf of the Careers team. She coordinates all our weekly company presentations and interview programmes held on campus, for which she tailors our facilities to the needs of top industry professionals. Her position extends to the coordination of the Full Time MBA and Executive MBA Leadership Assessment Centres, as well as the Full Time MBA Personal Planning and Stocktaking Workshops.

With his invaluable experience in Business Development for both public and private commercial industries, Steve provides an in-depth understanding of how to guide and maximise potential opportunities. He has worked for one of the UK’s leading recruitment specialists providing first class business solutions by acting as the integral link between prospective candidates and clients. Having built and maintained an extensive portfolio with some of the world’s most renowned organisations within Engineering, Utilities, Financial Services and Property, his established specialism enables him to deliver an array of business development incentives to our students, recruiters and alumni, including the coordination of specialist networking events and the securing of international partnerships.

Grace manages international recruitment partnerships across all sectors and geographical locations. Having lived in a multitude of cultural environments while establishing a career in higher education advisory functions, she brings a wealth of cultural and educational expertise to the team. Her specialist skills and knowledge are in international education matters, and her substantial experience of working with students at all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate and executive, acts in unison with her sound understanding of student needs and requirements. With a degree in French and German, plus verbal skills in Malay, her strong sense of cultural awareness and sensitivity enables her to tailor a bespoke service to students, faculty and external organisations.

As Business Development Manager, Helen establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with recruiters, helping to connect them with the range of executive talent at Cranfield School of Management. Helen is actively involved in developing links with recruitment partners across the globe, in order to maximise career opportunities for both students and alumni. This includes working within recruiters’ own hiring processes or supporting them in creating a bespoke recruitment schedule according to their needs. Helen’s work with the Career Development Service also includes facilitating recruiter events on campus such as recruitment presentations, sector specific events and interview programmes.

Colin is a former senior executive experienced in Service Operations and General Management in major energy companies in the UK and Northern Europe. He possesses broad management experience and has successfully led large service operations activities in a range of markets and environments. Additionally, Colin has a strong track record in executive development and the delivery of structured coaching and leadership programmes through his own business interests. As Director of Career Development, Colin is dedicated to delivering a world-class career service, combining his strong commercial and managerial experience with an ongoing commitment to executive development.
His passion is for people and the delivery of high quality service and business results through the engagement and commitment of all stakeholders. As an MBA Alumnus of Cranfield School of Management, Colin also has a first-hand understanding of the Cranfield experience and the benefits and opportunities it presents to aspiring professionals aiming to progress their career, as well as to potential recruitment partners.

Kerry’s primary focus is to facilitate recruiting links with international businesses on behalf of Cranfield’s Masters Degree students. Possessing a strong background in HR consultancy and talent management, Kerry has worked with many global clients to create highly effective recruitment, retention and HR strategies, with a particular emphasis on investment banking. At Cranfield, Kerry leads the business development activity across a variety of industry sectors and functions. She takes a targeted and consultative approach to talent hiring, helping top global recruiters connect to MBA students and alumni. She also organises international networking events, on-campus careers presentations and sector specific seminars, providing students with valuable industry knowledge and commercial insight.

Steve manages a range of business development activities across international markets, with the agenda of building mutually rewarding partnerships in areas such as Asia. He has a broad recruitment and headhunting background having established a solid career in accountancy markets across multiple sectors. Before joining Cranfield he worked in a Business Development capacity with a prestigious global sporting brand liaising with multinational organisations, an experience that cultivated his already extensive understanding of the employment market and Blue Chip organisational strategy. His managerial skills combined with his business development expertise give him the edge on identifying unique opportunities for bringing the right candidates to the right recruiters.

As first point of contact for the Career Development Service, Kirsty manages all administration duties for the department including the coordination of team schedules, booking conferences and handling enquiries from students and recruiters. She is also responsible for advertising all job vacancies and maintaining posts via the Careers intranet portal and alumni website. The support she provides is paramount to the effective delivery of our recruitment services, and she is central to providing one-on-one career development support to our students. With extensive knowledge and experience of research and practical based learning gained from her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, and having worked in fast-paced finance and administration roles for large public authorities, Kirsty brings exceptional organisation skills and a wealth of administrative experience to the team.

Maria is a Chartered Psychologist with extensive experience of leadership assessment, development and coaching. She has worked as an independent consultant and held leadership development roles with BT, the BBC, the Open University and the Cabinet Office. Additionally Maria has launched her own retail business, which she later sold as a going concern. As manager of the coaching service Maria leads a team of associate coaches to deliver a wide range of career and personal development initiatives focused on helping our students reach their potential. Professional Qualifications include: Registered Coaching Psychologist (BPS); Registered Occupational Psychologist (HPC); Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology; Certificate in Career Counselling and qualified MBTI, Firo-B, OPQ and 16PF practitioner.
