Social Enterprise/Entrepreneurs - Including Fair trade, Organics, Social and Environmental Organisations
We have seen a huge growth in the number of organisations with social or environmental purposes springing into existence. They are becoming increasingly successful and challenging mainstream, traditional business models across multiple industries. Social Enterprise and fair trade specialist Dr. Iain Davies is seeking doctoral students interested in expanding knowledge about issues relating to these organisations and industries. Possible topics might include:

How to create an "Ethical Marketplace"?

What are the success factors in running a social enterprise?

What is the role of network partners in building successful social enterprises?

How do the industries work?

How do you transfer social enterprise into changing the economic model of an industry?

Any other topic around branding, marketing or strategy in Alternative Trading Organisations, Social Enterprises and NGO`s
These topics can be researched from either Qualitative or Quantitative methodologies.
Candidates are requested who are passionate about social enterprise some work experience in these industries would be preferable but not obligatory.
