Future Dates
Future dates and themes for the Agile Supply Chain Research Club are:
2012
Event's Title: Collaborative Supply Chains
Date: 14th March 2012
Outline: Overcoming the barriers to creating highly collaborative and integrated supply chains. Why are initiatives such
as CPFR so difficult to implement?
Event's Title: Product Servitisation
Date: 13th June 2012
Outline: Produced-based competitive advantage is fleeting and easily imitated by competitors. As such, many highly
profitable companies are bundling products and services into solutions. This integration has implications for
how supply chains are designed and managed.
Event's Title: Customer Responsive Supply Chain Strategy
Date: 19th September 2012
Outline: Markets have become increasingly demanding such that one size does not fit all when it comes to supply
chain strategy. Research has shown that supply chain strategies should be developed to meet the needs of
different customer segments, however this remains a challenge in practice. What have we learnt at Cranfield?
Event's Title: Measurement of Supply Chain Performance
Date: 12th December 2012
Outline: Performance measurement drives behaviours and informs decisions, but how can it be used to ensure that
trade-offs inherent in SCM are overcome and sub-optimisation avoided?
