Cranfield School of Management

International Conferences

At Cranfield we believe in giving research students every opportunity for personal academic development through publishing in academic journals and attending relevant conferences.

We have strong international links and actively encourage students to present at conferences both outside and within the UK.

Some of these are specifically for doctoral students, including the doctoral tracks of the British Academy of Management and The Academy of Management; also EDAMBA, an annual Summer School for PhD students, sponsored by the European Commission.

Conference attendance can be vital in enabling students to develop their research and network with top experts in their field; so, when PhD students are presenting papers, we will provide generous financial support wherever the conferences are held.

Deirdre Anderson“Attending conferences is an extremely valuable contribution to my academic development – an excellent opportunity to receive feedback from established experts in the field, and also to meet and discuss ideas with those experts. I feel priviliged to have received such generous  financial support enabling me to attend conferences, particularly internationally.”

Deirdre Anderson, PhD student 2003-2008
