The Recruitment Confidence Index (RCI) is a quarterly Index that has been developed by Cranfield School of Management as a way of measuring expectations of future recruitment activity.
By measuring to what extent organisations expect to change levels of recruitment activity, the RCI forecasts changes in the recruitment climate over a six month period. It therefore provides an important new dimension to current economic forecasting, as recruitment is widely regarded to be at the front end of business growth or decline.
The RCI provides a range of indices of expected changes in recruitment activity. These indices are based on expected changes over a six month period in recruitment activity. The RCI survey distinguishes between two main indices: the RCI for all staff and the RCI for managerial/professional staff.
