St Paul's win the 2014 Cranfield Business Challenge

A team of sixth-formers from St Paul’s Catholic School in Milton Keynes fought off competition from The Hazeley Academy, Bedford College and Bedford Modern to win the 2014 Cranfield Business Challenge. The final brought together the winners from the county challenges which took place in the summer.

John McFarlane, a member of the Cranfield School of Management Advisory Board and MBA alumnus of the School, has been named as Chairman of Barclays Bank. He will step down from his role as Executive Chairman of the insurance giant Aviva to take up the new appointment.

An all-male team from Hazeley School in Milton Keynes beat off stiff competition from five other teams of sixth-formers to win the final of the Cranfield Business Challenge for Milton Keynes Schools run by Cranfield School of Management.

Bedford College rise to the Cranfield Business Challenge

Bankruptcies and government refinancing were all in a day’s work for teams of Bedfordshire sixth-formers that took part in the 18th annual Cranfield Business Challenge. A team from Bedford College along with their business mentor, Tina Charman of Novacroft, became the overall winners beating off competition from 17 other teams from nine county schools to win the business simulation event which is a joint initiative run by Cranfield School of Management and Develop EBP. Smaller prizes were won by Bedford Modern and Bedford Academy.
