Aims and Objectives

To compare HRM policies and practices in Europe and Worldwide and the impact of these policies and practices on performance, to compare trends in HRM, to investigate the use of HRM in ex-Eastern block countries. The Cranet survey is a well-established survey of actual HRM policies and practices in over 30 countries. It is envisaged that this survey data may be supplemented with other primary data.

Candidate requirements

  • Degree in appropriate subject e.g. human resource management.
  • Interest and knowledge of European economies
  • Good knowledge of quantitative statistics
  • Ideally a language other than English.
